Chris Junghans – Nashville Predators | Fast Five

Posted on: July 18th, 2016

Since being added to the league as an expansion team during the 1998-99 season, the Nashville Predators have seen considerable growth, as well as major success both on and off the ice. It can be difficult to grow a franchise in a league with as much history and tradition as the NHL, but the Predators have proven themselves to be up for the challenge. This week’s Fast Five meets with Chris Junghans, CRO of the Nashville Predators.

1. You are the right sponsorship choice for companies looking to:
Attract, solicit, interact with and introduce new products to a relatively young, educated, wealthy, passionate and excited fan base.

2. The most underutilized piece of sponsorship inventory you sell is:
The rights to our marks and logos.

3. Your top tip to companies looking to reach fans is:
Provide them a real reason to engage, offer them something they cannot get elsewhere and leverage their passion for the brand to achieve the goal.

4. Your most rewarding experience helping a corporate client achieve their marketing goals through team sponsorship was when:
We offered a “trust us, we can deliver” proposal that essentially had the sponsor pay us nothing but allowed us to prove that we were a viable medium for their business. After the agreed-upon time period ended, we delivered beyond expectations and have since grown the account to mid-seven figures. We love a challenge, and are willing to take risks – this one paid off!

5. Your goal with sponsorship clients is to:
Build measurable platforms that help clients attain their goals using our passionate fan base and ever-growing arena crowds as the centerpiece of those programs.
